Situated in the grounds of Anwick castle it provides a good insight into military history.
Nice little museum that charts the history of the Northumberland Fusiliers. Most f the exhibits are large collection of items with a description of all of the items in that part of the collection. The collection mainly consists of medals ( and Victoria Crosses), plus uniforms and other items associated with the Fusiliers.Entrance is free as it's already part of Alnwick Castle

Precious few of these museums left a fine old regiment should be supported. Not disable friendly though access to upper floors via winding staircase wasn't aware of a lift being available.
A well presented history of the Northumberland Fusiliers. Covers three floors (spiral staircase). Very knowledgeable young lady at reception on the ground floor. Got a question about the Fusiliers? Ask her and I bet she knows the answer. I was most impressed.My favourite display? Five of the 9 VCs awarded to the Fusiliers over the last two centuries. (These medals are probably worth well over a million pounds in today's market. But can you really put a monetary value on heroism?)
