New Year's Day meal, had a chicken burger. Was okay, abit dry. The chips were okay. Not many to choose from the menu, alot of money for what you get on the plate. The place was nice looking inside, staff were nice and the car park is excellent.
Stayed at the hogs head with my husband, we both enjoyed the stay. Room was lovely, food was good. And the staff helpful. Was a enjoyable night.
This is a lovely hotel! Extremely friendly staff nothing is too much trouble to them!! Rooms are fabulous quality next to non!! Food very good! Wouldn't go anywhere else than here!! See you next time!!!!
The food was fresh and quite lovely, however we felt the menu was slightly limited as there were only various meals available with chips and then a scattering of Asian and Indian dishes. We were quite looking forward to a roast dinner or another pub styled lunch but were slightly disappointed. The staff, however, are delightful and friendly and the dessert (Cheesecake) was delicious.
I rarely give five stars as it represents exceptional status (like a handshake from Paul on the Great British Bake off). But four stars as my normal highest standard. So the Hogs Head is clean, professional, well located with friendly and helpful staff. Relatively easy to find and offers good services and comfortable beds in large bedrooms. A bit pricier than I would like but still offers value as it is not over priced.
