I purchased a bulky item and wasn't sure if it would fit in my car. The sales lady kindly brought it out to my car and we managed to get it in. I then returned to the store to pay for the item. All the time she was friendly, polite and always smiling. Now that's what I call excellent service. Well done homebase Alnwick staff, especially the lady who served me.

It's a very useful place to have. But I checked online for an item, the site came back with 'unfound' , so I bought from another store. Later went into our Alnwick branch and found plenty of what I had searched for, on the shelf. Homebase web site needs to be updated.Only a very few staff are DIY trained, it would be helpful if all staff had a variety of training and those that have - could be found.
Good local DIY store, not a very comprehensive range but good for essentials. The staff are great and will do everything they can to help. We brought back some items which was no problem. There is always someone around to help find something or mix paint for example. Parking is ready.
This rating is no reflection on the staff. They were extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately due to a shortage of staff the appointment I had to discuss my kitchen was interrupted several times by other customers. I felt as if my custom was not a priority and the other customers were clearly not willing to wait until the lady helping me was finished. It was after all my arranged appointment and I feel they should have been directed to make an appointment as the questions they were asking were quite in depth.
